One of the benefits of koala habitat restoration is the positive impact on other flora and fauna through our bush regeneration work. This property, adjacent to Bindarri National Park is home to the endangered Ecological Community (EEC) Lowland Rainforest and includes threatened wildlife such as the Giant Barred Frog, the Wompoo Fruit-Dove, and the vulnerable Rose-crowned Fruit-Dove. It also supports a significant population of the critically endangered Scrub Turpentine (Rhodamnia rubescens).

Our Coffs Harbour team have covered some tough and demanding terrain to improve this significant ‘biodiversity hotspot’ . The restoration work on this land creates a crucial corridor for Koalas and other active wildlife.

Corridors are essential for maintaining ecological processes, allowing animals to move freely and ensuring the continuation of viable populations. By providing landscape connections between larger habitat areas, these corridors enable migration, colonisation, and interbreeding of plants and animals.
